The Fifth Global Sanskrit Conference 2026 was held from 28–30 September 2026 at Silpakorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. Focused on Indian Knowledge Systems, the conference was jointly organised by the Global Sanskrit Forum, Bharat, the Sanskrit Studies Centre, Faculty of Archaeology, Silpakorn University, and the Thai Bharat Culture Lodge, Bangkok.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by H.E. Shri Puneet Agrawal, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Thailand, as the Chief Guest, while Padma Shri Prof. Dr. Chirapat Prapandvidya presided over the ceremony. Dr. BalMukund Pandey and Prof. Balram Pani, Dean, University of Delhi, were among the distinguished guests. The conference was convened by Dr. Rajesh Kumar Mishra, with Dr. Wutthiphong Thawinsombat serving as the Organising Secretary.

A significant highlight of the international conference was the launch of Jyotsnaa G. Bansal’s book, TarkaNumero: Numbers through the Logic of Indian Philosophy. The book was released as the inaugural title of the GSF Anveshana Series — “Exploring Knowledge through Research,” an initiative of the Global Sanskrit Forum dedicated to research-oriented monographs and edited works in Sanskrit, Indian Knowledge Systems, Indian philosophy, Vedic studies and allied areas.

Through TarkaNumero, Jyotsnaa G. Bansal presents an original conceptual connection between Numerology and the principles of Indian philosophy drawn from Annambhatta’s Tarkasangraha. With this work, she becomes the first Indian woman Numerologist to research this intersection and present a book connecting Indian philosophy and Numerology at an international platform.

The academic foundation of this work precedes the book itself. Her initial research exploring the conceptual correlation between the Dravyas of Tarkasangraha and numbers was earlier published in Prajna, the research journal of Poornaprajna Samshodhana Mandiram, Bengaluru, an Adarsh Shodh Sansthan recognised by Central Sanskrit University.

At the valedictory ceremony, held under the chairmanship of Padma Shri Prof. Dr. Chirapat Prapandvidya, Prof. Sushma Yadav, Chairperson, UGC Steering Committee on LOCF, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Prof. Rajneesh Kumar Shukla and Dr. I Made Dharmasa, Indonesia, were present as Saraswat Guests.
