‘ASMITAA’ Magazine to Take Indian Knowledge Traditions to Every Home; Grand Launch at Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University
New Delhi. Inspired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s call—“When Citizens Read, Country Leads”—a grand launch of the trilingual magazine ‘ASMITAA’ was held on the auspicious occasion of National Youth Day at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University.
The magazine was formally unveiled in the gracious presence of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Murli Manohar Pathak, and Dr. Balamukund Pandey, National Organising Secretary, Akhil Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Yojana.
Launched jointly by Global Sanskrit Forum and Vidushi Group, ASMITAA is a trilingual publication in Sanskrit, Hindi and English, envisioned to carry India’s Knowledge Traditions to the wider public in an accessible and meaningful manner.
The magazine is the outcome of the far-sighted and progressive vision of its Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Mishra, International Secretary, Global Sanskrit Forum. Its primary objective is to present India’s rich intellectual and cultural heritage in simple, reader-friendly language for households across the country. This significant event was jointly organised by Global Sanskrit Forum, Vidushi Group, and the Department of Advaita Vedanta of the University.
Presiding over the ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Murli Manohar Pathak remarked that youth is that force which ignites enthusiasm. He emphasized that true empowerment will be achieved when society ceases to view women as abla (weak) and instead recognizes them as prabala (powerful).
The Chief Guest, Dr. Balamukund Pandey, highlighted that such magazines play a vital role in keeping Indian culture alive, stating that the most powerful force in society is the wise and conscious maternal energy.
During the programme, Prof. Sachchidanand Mishra, Member Secretary, Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR), shed light on the role of consciousness and awareness among youth. The event was further graced by distinguished academicians including Prof. Dayashankar Tiwari, Prof. Sandhya Rathore, Prof. Kamla Bhardwaj, and several other eminent guests.

The successful execution of the programme was made possible through the dedicated guidance and efforts of Organising Secretary - Dr. Nidhi Vedratna, Ms. Jyotsnaa G. Bansal, Dr. Priyanka Murria, Dr. Sangeeta Sharma and Co-ordinator Dr. Neerja Sharma efficiently.
The programme was also live-streamed on the ‘Sanskar Vahini’ YouTube channel, enabling thousands of viewers to witness this historic occasion digitally. At the conclusion, Convener Prof. Vishnupad Mahapatra extended heartfelt thanks to all distinguished guests and the organising team.
