How do you envisage the impact of Generative AI and Industry 4.0 on the industry and the company? In what ways is BPE preparing for the same?

Generative AI and Industry 4.0 are revolutionizing the way industries function, manufacture and distribute their products. In an economy that never stops, uninterrupted power supply is a must. However, the widening gap between power supply and demand in a country like India results in frequent power cuts and shortages hampering the growth of various industries. Our IoT-enabled products are designed to provide continuous power supply and protect critical industrial equipment from power outages, voltage fluctuations, and other electrical disturbances.

While the major requirements come from IT and ITeS-based industries, the digital revolution has given rise to the demand for unhindered power supply from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities as well. According to industry reports, the UPS Market in India projects a robust growth of CAGR of 8.20% between 2022 to 2030. BPE is future-ready with advanced products and smart solutions to cater to this demand.

What are the major challenges in the UPS industry? How do you resolve these challenges?

One of the major challenges that the UPS industry faces is the lack of holistic knowledge and awareness among various industry sectors regarding the optimal use of UPS. Most industry players think of UPS for power backup as an additional investment. However, while UPS enables industries to achieve continuous production/ operation, it also protects expensive equipment during various disturbances in the power cover, (under/over voltage), frequency variations, Harmon age, transitions, blackouts and short circuits. At BPE, through various mediums, we provide continuous awareness about the benefits of UPS systems and the latest technologies that will best suit today’s organizational setup.

In what ways do next-gen power solutions adhere to sustainability parameters of manufacturing?

Uninterruptible power supply is critical to business operations and a sustainable backup power system can safeguard machinery and avert unscheduled downtime to meet environmental demands. Thus, a sustainable UPS solution can boost efficiency while reducing energy usage.

Here, batteries, which form the heart of the UPS system, define the sustainability quotient of the solutions. The charge and discharge cycles of a UPS system are an important attribute to sustainability, especially when an organization is trying to reduce its energy usage and emissions. A single-phase UPS system can offer two to three times the life expectancy as compared to traditional solutions.

Furthermore, lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries significantly reduce carbon emissions by 50-75% helping organizations to achieve sustainability in their operations. BPE solutions are equipped with Li-ion batteries and smart solutions which help in the optimal use of UPS systems with minimal wastage. We are also expanding and increasing investments in Li-b manufacturing.

What are your strategies to become a leading name in the UPS sector?

We have a dedicated team of researchers to constantly develop future-ready solutions to cater to the needs of the industry. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, testing labs and research & development facilities at multiple locations are a testament to our dedication to creating world-class UPS solutions.
